Power a la Mode We developed custom ride modes for Moterra SL, specially tuned for the kind of high-speed sessions this rig encourages. Four different levels of boost, easily adjustable on the fly, help you choose between maximum range, monstrous power, or your ideal blend of both. Whether mild or wild, your ride will be whatever you want it to be, no more and no less. Heavenly Handling At a glance, it looks kinda crazy – an adjustable head angle slack enough for a DH bike, the long reach and steep seat angle of a modern trail bike, suspension layout, and geometry fully customized by size – but when it all comes together, it absolutely rips. Animated Suspension? More than just weight-savers, our burly FlexPivot stays are also at the heart of our suspension design. Series 4 Aluminum Frame Alpine Trail E models are built upon our Series 4 aluminum frames, with detailed forgings, highly manipulated tubes, and full internal cable routing, giving the rider the highest-end alloy frame that Marin offers, compatible with modern coil or air shocks. MultiTrac Suspension The Alpine Trail E features the same great, proven MultiTrac suspension technology, but optimized for the Shimano STEPS system. With this combination, there is no need for platform or lockout levers, just get on and blast up the hills. Mixed Wheel Sizes 29" front and 27.5"+ rear wheel sizes are the ideal combination for the Alpine Trail E—the larger front wheel easily rolls over most any trail obstacle and offers the best cornering traction, while the burly 27.5 x 2.8" rear setup adds playfulness and enhances acceleration and braking traction.
